COACHING AND CONSULTING FOR WRITERS

I’ve noticed something curious about writers. We love to write…when we’re not avoiding it. We’re overflowing with ideas…when we’re not blocked. We’re thrilled to get published…yet still suffer from “imposter syndrome.”
What’s wrong with us?
Not a thing.
The truth is that the creative process, in general, and writing, in particular, can feel vulnerable, scary, and overwhelming without a support system. That’s where I come in.
I’m passionate about helping writers reach their creative potential. And I bring my years of experience as a writer in various creative non-fiction genres (book author, essayist, and columnist), professor, and workshop leader to my role as a writing coach.
I’m also a creativity maven! What I uniquely offer clients is guidance based on my original creativity model, The 5 Creative Types, my book and TEDx Talk, What’s Your Creative Type? and my Substack newsletter, “Page Fright.” Whether you work with me on a short- or long-term basis, I’ll give you the tools to get you—and keep you—writing.
Please get in touch if you’re looking for:
Email me at [email protected]. Tell me a little about yourself, what you’re working on, and what you might like my help with. I’ll reply and share pricing information, and from there we’ll set up a time to get started.
I look forward to hearing from you!

WORKSHOPS
Come join one of my private workshops, held on Zoom, for beginning or intermediate/advanced writers in personal essay, opinion pieces, and memoir. I bring years of experience in writing published creative non-fiction works and in immersing myself in the workshop world. First, I was a workshop participant as I went for my MFA degree, and then I served as a creative and communication writing professor at Emerson College and Boston University and as an instructor at Grub Street. One of my favorite things in the world is facilitating a community of incredible writers, each there to learn about voice, style, and structure; share their work (a really vulnerable act); and support each other with encouragement and insightful suggestions. We also manage to have a lot of fun!
My workshops include a unique component: creativity motivation guidance and exercises based on my book and TEDx Talk, What’s Your Creative Type?, and my Substack newsletter, “Page Fright.” I call this element “Beyond the Workshop” because, once the workshop ends, all too often so does the work. It’s hard to go from a structured environment with deadlines to being out there on your own! I’ll give you the tools to keep you writing. If you’re interested in learning more, please email me at [email protected].
